Things To Do

The Webster House is located just fifteen minutes from downtown Rochester, New York on what is called the Seaway Trail.  The Seaway Trail is a 454-mile scenic route paralleling Lake Erie, the Niagara River, Lake Ontario, and The St Lawrence River.  Lake Road winds up and down the rolling hills east of Webster where apple country abounds.   A trip further east to Sodus Point is highly recommended and you won’t find better golf then at The Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club, overlooking Sodus Bay.  Rochester is also home to many seasonal festivals. One of these include the Corn Hill arts festival which feature a variety of art and craft vendors from all over the world.

To fine dine is Hedges Nine Mile Point right on the lake. It's just minutes from our door.  Thad, the owner will welcome you with open arms when we call ahead for you to make a reservation.  You can be comfortable in a tie, khakis or in jeans at Hedges. Less then 5 minutes heading west on Lake Road is "The Bayside" Set on Irondequoit Bay, it's a quaint little joint with great food for a great price. The owners, Rob and Anna Maria will take extra good care of you when you mention our name.  Flaherty’s, a great Irish pub is also just up the road. Try the Buffalo style wings or the Irish stew.

If you are looking for day trips, does Niagara Falls ring a bell?  One of the eight great wonders of the world is just an hour and a half from our door.  Falls view has a great casino and the trip along The Seaway Trail is the way to go.

Going south, we are forty-five minutes from the Finger Lakes region and wine country.  You can also catch the ponies running at the Finger Lakes Race Track during season or shop at the outlet mall.

Of course Rochester, New York is home of Eastman Kodak. The George Eastman house is a beautiful place to visit. You can also catch a triple  baseball game during the summer or take the one-hour trip to see the Buffalo Bills play during football season.

Right out our back door is hundreds of acres of hiking, cross-country skiing or bike riding trails. We also have an in-ground pool. That is if you want to work off our great breakfasts made by the famous Mom, “Barb Doll”.

Or, you could always just do…
